            Critical Focus, the Black and White Photographs of Harvey Wilson Richards (Estuary Press, 1986) brings together photos taken by Harvey Richards during his filming forays into the protest movements of the 1960s. Reissuing Critical Focus now, 28 years after the first print edition, as an eBook is based on the growing demand for his photography and the continuing relevance of the subjects he photographed in the 1960s: California Farm Workers, the civil rights movement, the peace movement, the environmental movement against clear cutting forests and against destructive open pit mining. Also, Richards photography of the Soviet Union continues to be relevant even after the USSR disappeared as people around the world consider the meaning of its history.
